  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

- Meeting Students’ Needs From 学前教育 Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.

  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Welcome to the German International School of Silicon Valley (GISSV)

GISSV offers an exceptional educational program that has received both support and accreditation from the German Government and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). As a recognized "Excellent German School Abroad," as confirmed by the German Government, we have established a reputation for excellence in education.

As a member of a network of more than 140 German Schools Abroad, we offer a challenging curriculum for our students 学前教育-Grade 12, culminating in two prestigious programs – 德国国际Abitur and California High School Diploma.

In addition to the highest German and Californian academic standards and values focusing on 批判性思维, the international aspect of the education that we offer is rooted in promoting cultural understanding and emotional intelligence. We have a cosmopolitan mindset, embrace the diversity of our community and support international understanding, 跨文化对话, and sustainable development in practice.
